He is the co-author of the book FBO Survival: 10 Tips to Keep Your Operation Lean, Mean and Profitable available on Amazon.com.
Ron holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from The University of Iowa and is a Certified Journalist. Along with John Enticknap, he co-developed NATA's acclaimed FBO Success Seminar Series as well as the new CSR Certification Program.
He writes an industry blog for Penton Publishing's AC-U-KWIK Alerts titled: The FBO Connection.
Aviation Business Strategies Group (ABSG) was founded in 2006 by aviation fueling and FBO services veteran John Enticknap and aviation marketing practitioner Ron Jackson with one goal in mind: to help aviation service companies, FBOs in particular, become more profitable. Their vision is to provide an affordable resource to the industry through sharing, teaching and consulting.
Through a series of seminars, workshops, webinars and personal business coaching, the team at ABSG has helped FBOs solve practical problems and create winning solutions.
In 2008, ABSG began teaming with the National Air Transportation Associaiton (NATA) to provide a seminar series for teaching a proprietary 10 Step Process for becoming a more profitable aviation service company. This popular FBO Success Seminar is scheduled twice a year, once in the Spring and once in the Fall.
John is an accredited IS-BAH Auditor and regularly consults with FBOs on developing strong SMS programs as well as negotiating better fuel contracts and airport leases.
He has served as President & CEO of Mercury Air Centers, a U.S. based chain of FBOs he helped grow from four facilities to more than 20 locations from coast to coast.
Part of John's international experience includes opening the Royal Terminal Kuwait, one of the largest FBO facilities in the Eastern Hemisphere.
John has held executive management positions with DynAir Fueling and CSX Becket Aviation and holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management form Northeastern University.

An active ATP and CFI rated pilot, John has more than 8,100 flight hours and is certified in both fixed and rotary wing aircraft.
